YCP Picks Holes In Claim On AP GSDP Growth

Visakhapatnam: YSRCP has disputed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's claim that Andhra Pradesh is rising after the formation of TDP-led NDA Government in the State in June last year and declared that own tax revenues of the State Government registered an abysmally low year-on-year growth of 2.16 per cent in FY 2024-25 up to February 2025."
"There's but a false narrative to divert public attention from the failures of the coalition to keep election promises," YSRCP said referring to Naidu's posting on X saying: "As per the latest data from @GoIStats, our state has registered the 2nd highest growth rate in the country for 2024–25, with 8.21 per cent growth. In less than a year of forming the government, our policies have moved Andhra Pradesh from a state of distress to a state of growth and renewed confidence. This progress has been driven by a broad-based revival across agriculture, manufacturing, and services, alongside significant investments in IT, electronics, automobiles, and renewable energy. I congratulate my people of Andhra Pradesh for this," Naidu earlier stated on X.
Dismissing the claim, Leader of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, Botcha Satyanarayana, said the Chief Minister tried to mislead the public by projecting a narrative of “robust growth” in Andhra Pradesh’s GSDP for the financial year 2024–25 through his X handle.
